10 New Directions For WWE After Elimination Chamber 2023
1. Cody Rhodes Ending Roman’s Reign
Destiny awaits.
Cody Rhodes will do what Sami Zayn couldn't and take the Undisputed WWE Universal Title from Roman at WrestleMania 39. The event's subheading could accurately be retitled to, "Roman Reigns Goes On Vacation After This", because he's due some well-earned time off post-show.
To get there, he'll need to drop both belts to 2023 Rumble winner and AEW comeback king Cody. Reigns has been phenomenal since turning heel a few years back, but it's time for a change and Rhodes (who is shifting merch like crazy for the company) is the right choice.
He'd totally freshen up the top line mix, and then WWE can look at splitting the titles onto separate brands again if they wish. Then, following an extended break until summer at least, Roman can return as a huge babyface. Probably.
