What do you suppose Edge whispered to Beth Phoenix after their mixed tag win over The Miz and Maryse at Royal Rumble? "Well done, babe", perhaps? Or, maybe Edge was saying he couldn't wait to get back in the title hunt before 'Mania. Nah, it was probs the former.

That doesn't mean Mr. 'Rated-R' won't let Mrs. 'Rated-R' do her own thing in the women's scene and turn his attention back to singles gold. Edge being announced for Elimination Chamber would be huge for local fans in Saudi, and it makes sense to pen some sort of championship redemption for the veteran.

He's been telling the press recently that he doesn't need to become World Champion again. Even so, there's value in a story riddled with self-doubt, fear and hope. Edge targeting the WWE Title and becoming part of the Chamber line up makes sense right now.

WWE can always reignite his Miz feud afterwards if they like.
