10 New Finisher Possibilities For Roman Reigns' WWE Return

2. The Running Reverse Samoan Drop

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDMF7zfA4eU Roman Reigns is part of the legendary Anoa€™i wrestling family, the majority of whom hail from Samoa. In fact, Roman was trained by the original Wild Samoans Afa and Sika Anoa€™i, and the Usos, Jimmy and Jey, are his cousins. A common trait of most, if not all Samoan wrestlers in WWE has been their use of the Samoan Drop as a signature or finishing move. From Yokozuna to Rikishi, to the aforementioned Usos to the Rock, all of them have used the Samoan Drop as part of their wrestling repertoire, and Roman Reigns is no exception. So what better way to make himself stand out from the rest of his family than to take the traditional move of his heritage and make it his own? The move in that video is, as the title implies, a completely different take on the Samoan Drop. In it, wrestler Takuya Sugawara lifts his opponent into a reverse Samoan Drop, or to more technical, into La Reienera, and then runs and drops his opponent onto their face and torso. So in a sense, it would be akin to Ryback€™s finisher, only the recipient is facing the other way. The move would fit Roman Reigns because it more or less keeps to his Samoan heritage, while looking different nonetheless. While there might be a small problem with it, due to the fact that it is very similar to Ryback€™s Shellshocked finisher, it would still be nice to see Roman use this move. If you look closely, you€™ll notice that WWE likes its superstars to use wrestling maneuvers executed from a fireman€™s carry position: from Cena (FU/AA) to Brock Lesnar (F5), to Sheamus (White Noise and his Rolling Fireman€™s Carry) to Ryback (also arguable). If Roman were to use this move, it would fit into that pattern.
