10 New Finisher Possibilities For Roman Reigns' WWE Return
3. The Reverse Chokeslam Facebuster
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1qI8D-wtEE While most of the moves on this list were meant to demonstrate raw power and strength, this move represents brutality. In the above video, Takeshi Morishima delivers his Amaze Impact finisher, by grabbing his opponent by the back of their neck, and then lifting them up as if for a Chokeslam and then dropping them face-first to the mat. For this move to work it would require Roman Reigns to be a heel. If you look at that move, it would be hard to convince the audience that such a move is what a good guy would do. Going further on the uniqueness aspect of this list, this move has only been used by one individual in WWE: Eli Cottonwood, when he was on NXT. The reason this move is higher than the previous entry is because it is arguably a safer choice, and because it is the more likely of the two to be chosen for a WWE Superstar. Despite not being particularly tall enough to deliver a Chokeslam from a believable height, that factor is more of an issue for the regular Chokeslam, where the goal is to lift your opponent as high as possible. For this variation, by the sheer virtue of lifting your opponent by the back of the neck and dropping them on their face is brutal enough that elevation shouldnt be a major concern. If WWE wants to show Roman Reigns as a brutal wrestler, then this would be the right choice.
