5. Lio Rush

Lio Rush was officially offered WWE contract in July before the deal was confirmed just this past week. And he's brought with him a fair amount of buzz.

At 22 years of age, he certainly fits the bill of a developmental talent, but he already has almost three years of indie experience to his name. During that time, he built a pretty solid résumé that includes an MCW tag title alongside Patrick Clark, the CZW World Heavyweight Championship, as well as winning Ring of Honor’s Top Prospect Tournament back in 2016.

Then again, he also made headlines in his final CZW show for completely no-selling a brutal table spot, so you could argue he still has work to do if he wants to fit the WWE mold.

If and when he does live up to the potential that he promises, his dynamic style would likely make him a star on NXT - but standing at just 5'6", there's a very real risk that on the main roster he’d be restricted to the Cruiserweight division.

Should WWE allow him to break out, as we saw with someone like Rey Mysterio, then the company could well have a big star on their hands. Figuratively, of course.
