10 Non-Title Matches That Could Happen At WWE WrestleMania 35

1. The Undertaker Vs. Shawn Michaels

Don’t rule out the architects of the greatest non-title match in WrestleMania history doing it all again 10 years later.

When Shawn Michaels announced the end of his eight-year retirement to team up with Triple H and face The Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel in November, people were already booking his next match. While fans would love to see HBK battle some new blood such as Daniel Bryan or AJ Styles, WWE keep going back to the well with his fiercest rival.

The ending of the Crown Jewel match left room for another chapter of this legendary story, with Triple H pinning Kane denying Michaels true retribution for the ending of his career.

There are no other feasible candidates to face ‘The Phenom’, with the most plausible alternative being no Undertaker at all, for the first time at WrestleMania in 18 years. ‘The Deadman’ has recently stepped away from the WWE brand to apparently go into business for himself, so this rematch now seems unlikely, for this year at least.

However, bookmakers still make Undertaker vs. Michaels the third favourite match to headline MetLife Stadium, if multiple versions of the Becky, Charlotte, Ronda scenario are counted as one, so maybe WWE has a big surprise planned for the road to WrestleMania?
