Longtime pro wrestling giant Paul "Big Show" Wight holds an unusual distinction-- throughout his first 12 years in the WWE, he was unbeaten at Summerslam. The stat is somewhat misleading, as the former WWE, WCW, and ECW champion was absent from several events due to injuries or disciplinary action, yet Big Show nearly threatened Hulk Hogan's previous unbeaten record. Big Show's impressive Summerslam run began in 1999, as he was paired with the Undertaker, and unseated Kane and X-Pac as WWF tag team champions, in what would become a short-lived reign. Despite being a prominently featured WWE star for the years that followed, Show wouldn't compete on another Summerslam event for seven years, defeating Sabu in an extreme rules match in 2006. Big Show would win a pre-show match against Bam Neely in 2008, retain his tag team titles with Chris Jericho over Cryme Tyme in 2009, and defeat the Straight Edge Society in a handicap match in 2011. These victories would extend Show's unbeaten Summerslam record to 12 years, and four victories, five including dark matches. Unfortunately for Show, his impressive, yet cheap decade plus unbeaten run would come to an end, as he was pinned by CM Punk in a WWE title match that also featured John Cena. In typical Big Show fashion, he'd be left off the 2013 Summerslam show.
