10 Obscure WWE WrestleMania Facts You'll SWEAR Aren't Real
7. Unbeatable Records?
Unlike The Undertaker’s WrestleMania match record that is slowly being encroached upon, there are two records that stand about zero chance of falling: consecutive wins and total Mania victories.
The shocking part, however, might be just how far out of reach these feats are.
Undertaker won 21 straight WrestleMania matches until Brock Lesnar ended The Streak at WrestleMania 30.
Guess who has the closest active streak in WWE right now?
It’s a multi-superstar tie, with wrestlers such as Sami Zayn, Jade Cargill, Logan Paul, Rey Mysterio and the Street Profits all tied with two consecutive Mania wins. Bianca Belair had four straight wins, but she lost in that incredible triple threat opener at last year’s WrestleMania.
As for total WrestleMania wins, John Cena moved into second place last year with his 11th victory, but he’s now retired. The next closest to Taker’s 25 total wins among active wrestlers would be Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio and Roman Reigns, all tied with nine triumphs at Mania.
How unbeatable is that? At 40, Reigns is the youngest of that bunch by a solid five years. If he didn’t miss a WrestleMania and won every match, he’d be 56 when he surpassed Taker’s wins record… and he still wouldn’t best the Deadman’s consecutive wins record.
