10 Observations From Attending WWE Raw Live

2. The Live Experience

WWE often cuts to commercials during longer matches, and typically, that's a sign for the action to slow down. Most of the time, heels will take control during the commercial break and keep the babyfaces immobile with rest holds. Nothing important is missed. Other times, wrestlers will mess around with fans. During last night's main event (Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, and Sin Cara versus Kevin Owens, The Miz, and Stardust), Dolph nailed The Miz with a superkick that knocked him off the apron. The show cut to a break, but The Miz remained laid out on the floor. Stardust used JBL's hat to fan the former WWE Champion, while Kevin Owens splashed some water on him, but it did nothing to rouse The Miz. Eventually, his partners had to pick him up and place him back on the apron. The antics didn't stop there. The fans started to get worn out after such a long show, so they began doing the wave to entertain themselves. The wrestlers in the ring joined in, but Kevin Owens was not amused. He grabbed a microphone and said, "If you lift your hands one more time, I'll fight each and every one of you." Of course, that did nothing to dissuade the crowd, but when Owens followed up with, "If you lift your hands, it means you like Michael Cole's commentary," the crowd went still.
