10 Observations From WWE Live In London 2016
8. A Rare Big Show Sighting
After a typically one-sided Braun Strowman versus Goldust match, out strode the World's Largest Athlete, making his first in-ring appearance in almost two months. Show hasn't been on television regularly since April but is still doing select house shows and media appearances for the company. He's a great guy to send on international tours, because there's still a novelty about seeing him perform in person and he's a great ambassador for WWE.
Indeed, it seems as though absence may have made English hearts grow fonder, since Show was greeted with a lovingly warm reaction - no 'please retire' chants on this night. On the contrary, fans were into Show's routine and he looked like he was having a lot of fun out there. With him publicly stating that 2017 will be his last year as an active wrestler - with his WrestleMania 33 match with Shaq earmarked as a potential retirement bout - this could well be one of the last times he performs on UK soil.
His opponents on this night, the Shining Stars, played the role of bump dummies perfectly and it was obvious from the off that they didn't stand a chance. They fell to a double chokeslam at around their five-minute mark for another well-received win. At least they got some promo time before their inevitable drubbing.
