7. Fit Finlay Produces
Not to sidetrack things too much, but I wanted to point out something I noticed towards the middle of the show.
As our seats were located next to the production stage (where WWE tech guys produce things), I noticed that wrestling veteran and current WWE producer/road agent Fit Finlay was the man in charge of the night's operation.
Finlay would have been the one tasked with shaping the evening's card, giving time cues and basically just ensuring that the show runs in a smooth fashion. He was making notes on the matches throughout, in order to compile a report to give to WWE higher-ups and possibly even Vince McMahon himself.
The importance of this process shouldn't be understated, since performances on live events can go some way to determining what kind of push or role a wrestler gets on television. The word of someone as respected as the Irishman goes a long way and it definitely looked as though some fired-up superstars were out to impress last night.
