10 Old WWE Gimmick Matches That Need To Say In The Past

The Attitude Era produced plenty of great feuds and storylines, but the Big Bossman vs. Al Snow wasn’t one of them. The angle saw Snow’s pet chihuahua kidnapped by Bossman, who then cooked and fed the dog to Snow in a hotel room. As a result, it was determined that they only way this beef could possibly be settled was in an outlandish canine-themed gimmick match, and the Kennel From Hell was born.

Taking place at Unforgiven 1999, it saw a traditional cage placed around the ring, with an additional cell enclosing ringside. The company brought in a pack of Doberman dogs who were apparently ready to tear into any wrestler foolish enough to venture outside the first cage, but that's not how it went down.

The supposedly ‘vicious’ dogs were completely uninterested, and were too busy urinating, defecating, or engaging in the animal kingdom’s most carnal act to pay heed to Bossman and Snow. Al eventually won, gaining a measure of revenge for his deceased chihuahua, though the dogs’ docile behaviour turned the Kennel From Hell into a horrendous farce that WWE have never been able to live down.
