10 Outsiders To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2020 Match

4. Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley has gone on the record for years in saying that he wants nothing more than a match against Brock Lesnar. The closest he came to getting what he wanted was when he returned to WWE one night removed from WrestleMania 34 to much fanfare, but within a matter of weeks, he was made to feel like just another guy on the roster.

Realistically, Lashley vs. Lesnar would have been a fitting main event for SummerSlam 2018, but WWE stuck with their original plan of having Roman Reigns avenge his loss to Lesnar. Sadly, the run Lashley has had with WWE since then hasn't exactly been what fans had in mind when he re-signed.

Outside of his two forgettable reigns as Intercontinental champion, the company has failed to utilize him to his full potential and has instead slotted him in a never-ending rivalry with Rusev and Lana.

Despite all that, Lashley continues to lobby for that dream match in media interviews. Putting aside his terrible booking over the last year, no one poses as much of a physical threat to Lesnar as Lashley, especially when you consider their collective accomplishments within the world of mixed martial arts.

With Lashley still very much embroiled in this awful angle with Lana and Rusev, the odds are slim of him winning the Royal Rumble, but it isn't impossible. It'd certainly be one way of arriving at Lashley vs. Lesnar and getting back to Lashley as a serious singles competitor.
