Even in 1991, Owen was a superb piece of talent, that much is obvious, and he would have been perfect for the more wrestling-focused WCW. In addition to all of that, Owen's brother Bret was starting to hit home hard with the WWF as a singles star around this period, so that could have been the perfect reason to sign him up in retaliation. Imagine the matches Owen could have had in WCW around this time, with the likes of Brian Pillman, Sting, Barry Windham and Steve Austin on the roster. Better yet, there's every chance that Owen could have made a name for himself in WCW, before leaving the company just a few years later. From there, fans could have been treated to an even more monumental series of matches between the Hart brothers in the WWF, although it's doubtful Vince McMahon would have wanted to acknowledge WCW. In hindsight, at least fans still got that family feud, and the brothers got to create magic inside the ring, but Owen Hart was deserving of a contract in 1991, few can deny that.
