2. Eric Escobar

Former FCW Champion and three-time FCW Tag Champ Eric Escobar seemed to have the world at his feet when he debuted on WWE's main roster in September 2009. WWE clearly agreed that he was special - they put heat magnet Vickie Guerrero in Eric's corner immediately. She was coming off a hot union with Edge.

That was successful, so maybe creative figured Vickie was an automatic win for any wrestlers tied to her. Hmm, maybe not. Escobar lasted as a heel until November, split from Guerrero then floundered. By January 2010, he was gone. Just like that! WWE weren't hanging around to see if Eric would work out as a babyface.

They'd seen enough, it seems.

Vince McMahon was well-known for changing his mind frequently on various wrestlers, but this was quick even by his standards. Escobar debuted in a prominent spot next to Vickie, scored some impactful wins, then found himself on the scrap heap. It was a whirlwind main roster run. A short one though.
