4. Jack Gallagher’s Title Push

So far, the WWE’s reboot of the Cruiserweight division hasn’t exactly set the world alight. Much of the action we’ve seen on Raw, and to a lesser extent 205 Live, has been lacking the kind of originality and uniqueness that made last summer’s Cruiserweight Classic such a success in the first place.

But with Jack Gallagher now in line to face Neville for the Cruiserweight title, we now have ourselves a challenger with no shortage of those two key ingredients.

Gallagher is as original and he is unique, and as likeable as he is unorthodox, right from the way in which he conducts himself to the wrestling style he adopts in the ring. And that kind of colourful style is exactly what the Cruiserweight division should be all about.

Rather than being a stage for run-of-the-mill matches between slightly smaller than average guys, the Cruiserweight division should be vastly different from the rest of the action we see elsewhere on the main roster. Gallagher certainly offers such differentiation, making him a great choice of challenger for Neville’s Cruiserweight Championship this Sunday.
