10 Possible Swerves For The 2016 WWE Royal Rumble

1. Daniel Bryan Finally Wins the Royal Rumble

Don't misconstrue my words and think that I'm predicting a Daniel Bryan return in the 2016 Royal Rumble. In fact, I don't think he'll be a part of the bout at all due to not being medically cleared to compete yet, but would it not be the greatest swerve of all swerves? I refuse to believe that Bryan has been ready to go this entire time and WWE was simply holding off until the Rumble to reintroduce him to WWE TV as a way to surprise fans. Although that's unlikely, it is worth nothing that he was cleared by UCLA doctors this past week. Of course, no one's opinion matters unless its Dr. Maroon's, but this recent development will only help Bryan on his road to recovery. Let's say he was given the green light to wrestle in the Rumble. What would be the purpose in putting him in there if he isn't going to win? Even if a fan favorite such as Brock Lesnar emerged victorious, it's logical to assume there will be fans disappointed Bryan was slighted for the third consecutive year. It could very well be third time's the charm for The Bearded One come Sunday if he does make his return to action, and if so, he would have the Cinderella story of a lifetime by winning the Rumble two years after he was pegged to win it the first time. Talk about a storybook ending. Which other swerves would you like to see at the Royal Rumble? Share your own picks below in the comments thread below.
