9. The Undertaker Returns
Granted, The Undertaker showing up in the 2016 Royal Rumble wouldn't be a huge surprise, but one would think he would have been announced for the bout by now to boost interest in the event. The Royal Rumble is known for its shocking returns, but that didn't stop them from announcing the likes of Batista, Daniel Bryan and just recently Chris Jericho for the match ahead of time. Undertaker's long-rumored retirement at WrestleMania 32 in his native Texas might not be happening after all as he's reportedly in better shape than he has been in years. Thus, it could be another several years before he hangs up his boots, but if the plan is still for him to wrap up his legendary career at the 32nd anniversary of The Show of Shows, having him compete in the Rumble match would only be fitting. He's already appeared at SummerSlam, Hell in a Cell and Survivor Series in the past six months, so a one-off in the Rumble isn't completely out of the question. Plus, with his originally scheduled WrestleMania opponent John Cena out injured, it would make sense for his next feud to kick off in the Rumble match. With whom is anyone's guess, though.
