There was a lot of confusion surrounding Alexa Bliss’s NXT call-up.

Although SmackDown’s Women’s division desperately needed more competitors, most fans thought Bliss – and fellow call-ups Carmella and Mojo Rawley – could use a little longer down in developmental. How wrong we all were.

Since debuting on SmackDown Live, Bliss has gone from being a background player to one of the most despicable, outspoken heels on the roster, chasing, capturing, and losing the Smackdown Women’s title in the process.

While the RAW’s Women’s division has mainly been centred around Charlotte’s PPV winning streak, SmackDown’s has tried, and mostly succeeded, to nurture multiple interesting rivalries. Bliss has been a major part of this, acting as the perfect dastardly villain to Becky Lynch’s down-to-earth babyface persona.
