10 Potential Bryan Danielson Dojo Recruits In AEW

5. Alan ‘V’ Angels

From one faction to the next, Alan Angels might benefit from ditching his numeral designation and embracing the teachings of the ‘Danielson Dojo’. As a member of 'The Dark Order’, Angels hasn’t done much of anything noteworthy, besides getting his head kicked in by Bryan Danielson in his hometown.

To be clear, Alan Angels is a phenomenal talent. At only 24 years old, Angels has had fantastic matches with wrestlers such as Kenny Omega and Rey Fenix. The problem is, even with these matches, Angels doesn’t feel like a big deal. His matches with Omega were heavily criticized at the time, primarily due to Angels holding his own against the former World champion despite many critics viewing him as a "jobber".

Right now, being a member of ‘The Dark Order' isn’t doing him any favors. Although entertaining, most members of the group are typically used to put over other talent. Recently, AEW has been teasing a split between Adam Page and 'The Dark Order’. Considering Alan Angels stepped up to Bryan Danielson on behalf of Page in a match that legitimately strained his MLC, it wouldn’t be hard to spin this into a way for Angels to leave the group altogether and seek mentorship from one of the fiercest competitors he’s stepped into the ring with.
