Until AJ Styles soared through the air and planted Jinder Mahal with a Phenomenal Forearm, John Cena seemed like a lock for a WrestleMania match with the 'Modern Day Maharaja'. Now that AJ is WWE Champion, everything has changed. What will Big Match John being doing on the biggest stage of them all?

The safe money is still on Cena winning a record-breaking 17th world title at WrestleMania. Reports suggest that WWE has no plan on doing Cena vs. Styles or Lesnar right now, but it isn’t outside of the realm of possibility that either of the titles will change hands between now and April.

John Cena is in a weird spot right now. Still the biggest draw in the company, Cena hasn’t been involved in a world title match at ‘Mania since his WrestleMania 29 showdown with The Rock. The 16-time champ may well be running down the clock at this point in his career, so one last dance in the sun is not an impossibility.

Far from it. John Cena must be considered one of the favourites to win the 2018 Royal Rumble.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
