10 Potential WWE Super ShowDown 2020 Opponents For Goldberg

7. Erik Rowan

Goldberg Erick Rowan
WWE

Forgive this writer for thinking WWE are already bored of Erick Rowan and whatever the funk he's carting around in that bag. Typically, the story has progressed at a snail's pace, but that's not the real problem. Patience is a good thing, at least for fans. Backstage, in creative meetings, it smacks of incremental boredom setting in.

Spear, Jackhammer, pin.

It wouldn't be out of character for WWE to feed Rowan to the wolves and have Bill Goldberg batter his brains in at Super ShowDown. In this company, there's very much a totem pole of importance, and Mr. 'Coochy Coo' (hearing Erick say that should make one's skin crawl) is several rungs below part-time nostalgia trip Goldberg on it.

Would this destroy any chances of Rowan getting over? Yes. Would it wreck the purpose of his recent jobber-beating run? Sure. Is it difficult to view big Erick losing to Goldberg in roughly the same time he did to The Rock at WrestleMania 32 almost four years ago? No.
