10 Precise Moments When TNA Careers Ended

4. Gail Kim

Gail Kim's original 2018 retirement (on an independent show in the UK) felt a bit too low key for somebody who had been so important to the rise of women's wrestling. WWE's female revelation might take the plaudits, but Gail and Awesome Kong were working top matches years before all of that.

So, it was only right that Kim ended things properly in IMPACT.

She returned to the ring for one night only to battle Tessa Blanchard at the promotion's Rebellion pay-per-view on 28 April 2019. Together, the pair worked a fine battle before Kim put Blanchard over and then symbolically 'passed the torch' post-match.

A clearly-emotional Kim embraced an equally-as-teary Tessa mid-ring before tearing herself away and waving goodbye. She's since worked as a producer for the company, but has resisted the urge to go all Ric Flair/Terry Funk and have yet another retirement send off.

That's unlikely to happen in 2022 or beyond.
