10 Predictions For John Cena’s WrestleMania 34 Opponent
4. The Miz
CM Punk once caustically posited that at WrestleMania, the best babyface should fight the best heel. He made the remarks in response to his percieved demotion around WrestleMania XXVII in which he found himself rooted in a bland midcard affair with Randy Orton whilst reigning WWE Champion The Miz headlined against John Cena.
Is it really that wild an argument to say that, in 2017, Miz is the best villain in the company? Further to that, few could dispute Cena's overwhelming popularity despite the split crowd chants that will dog him for the rest of his career.
Though hardly on par with the Steve Austin/Rock trifecta, a third and final go around for the two in which Cena genuinely puts over the 'A-Lister' after years of taking every opportunity to submerge him in sh*t would be a satisfyingly selfless act from 'The Champ.
WrestleMania 34 doesn't have to be John Cena's last 'Show Of Shows', but even he's admitted that the clock is now ticking on his in-ring career in general. Before he departs once and for all, he owes the game and reliable Intercontinental Champion his own major 'Mania moment.
