10 Problems WWE MUST Solve Before Royal Rumble 2022

9. A HUGE Signing

Roman Reigns
IMPACT Wrestling

With the debuts of Adam Cole, CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, AEW have signed huge stars in the past month. This has brought a huge swell of momentum behind the promotion and has helped them in terms of ratings.

While WWE isn't signing up huge indie stars at the moment, now would be the perfect chance to counteract AEW and scoop up a big name. Currently, the biggest name is Tessa Blanchard. The former IMPACT World Champion not only has the name power to draw in some of the lapsed WWE fans, but she could also inject the women's division with some much-needed life.

While her past controversies don't necessarily make her the perfect choice for WWE, but let's be honest, signing Tessa Blanchard isn't the most controversial thing WWE have ever done. Even if they don't sign Blanchard and instead make a play for someone else, it could mean a lot for the company and gain favour with some indie fans.

While the mass releases don't bode well for WWE signing indie talent, it could potential get them off the back foot.
