10 Problems WWE Must Solve In The 2023 Draft

3. Expected “Brand Warfare”

Survivor Series 2022 was such a breath of fresh air because it didn't rely on the knackered Raw vs. SmackDown trope to carry things. That has been done to death in WWE since 2002, and it's boring as balls now. There's simply no need to revisit 'Us vs. Them' on pay-per-view any time soon.

Attention, WWE: DON'T DO IT.

People expect some sort of "brand warfare" b*llocks at some point during the year, sadly, but it's one idea creative should cast aside for good. The whole experience is hollow from a fan's perspective (Bragging Rights was a crummy PPV concept from the get go), and it's defo old hat.

Phoney brand loyalty means nothing to folks who watch both major shows weekly anyway, and the way WWE used to pretend it was important every November was flat out painful. Stop it, move on and quit leeching off a concept originally intended for WCW vs. WWF.

It's 2023, guys.
