10 Problems WWE Must Solve In The 2024 Draft

7. Making Sure Champs Aren’t Sold Short

Pre-planning must be the number one priority for WWE this year, because they're guilty of selling certain divisions short and thus being forced into ignoring their own Draft rules within months. In other words, it'd be lovely if champs like Cody Rhodes and Bayley had plenty of rivals to keep them busy until next year's version.

The company shouldn't have to sigh and then make bogus excuses for wrestlers randomly showing up on brands they haven't been tied to just because they're out of options for a fresh title feud. That's crappy planning, and it's avoidable anyway if serious thought is put into this year's Draft.

Rhodes should have 'A' opponents for SummerSlam season and Royal Rumble in January. Then, WWE should have a rough idea of what they want him to do at 'Mania 41. In between, the people laying out this Draft need a sprinkling of 'B' tier rivals to keep Cody going on lesser PLEs.

It's a lot to think about, but essential.
