10 Problems WWE Must Solve In The 2024 Draft
8. How Second-Rate Supplemental Picks Look
Supplemental picks are commonly announced on lower-level background programming like Raw Talk, and that doesn't help them. Instantly, through no fault of their own, the gaggle of midcarders and overlooked wrestlers involved come across as second-rate compared to those deemed important enough to make the cut for the main Draft.
Yes, WWE has to round things out and beef up each roster, but again - surely there's a better way to go about all of this? Basically, if someone's involved in the Draft at all, then they should be mentioned on the core Raw and SmackDown specials. Palming them all off to shows hardly anyone watches is poor.
Even the word "supplemental" sounds unimpressive.
The wrestlers handed this ball and chain know without doubt they're barely in creative's thoughts. That's counterproductive, especially when Triple H should want to try and get as many workers over as humanly possible. If they're "WWE Superstars", then treat them as such.
