The Shield reunions have sadly never turned out the way we hoped they would. First time they reunited, it was in a bit of a lackluster feud with The Miz, his cronies, Strowman, and for some reason Kane. Eventually it was cut short by Ambrose’s injury. Second time around though, things looked to be shaping up better.

The Hounds of Justice came together to thwart Strowman’s cash-in attempt on Roman Reigns. And we were all set for a vicious turf war between the Hounds and the Monster Among Men. Things got a bit weird when Strowman turned heel and recruited Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre to his cause, but fans were still excited nonetheless.

Sadly that’s as good as it got. The story afterward was focused more on dissension within The Shield. The heels almost became a bit of an afterthought. The few matches they had didn’t exactly deliver on the promise either. By the time this whole thing had to be curtailed by Roman’s tragic real life situation, this had vastly underwhelmed in every department.
