10 Promising Recent WWE Storylines Which Ultimately Fizzled Out

Reigns and Bryan are two of wrestling’s biggest names in the modern era. Sure, the former is an infinitely more divisive figure than the universally beloved latter, but there is no denying either of their accomplishments.

As such, a potential rivalry between the two had fans salivating. Especially because unlike a lot of the other big money feuds, WWE had not spammed us with it. In fact, the two had hardly ever met in singles competition since their showdown before WrestleMania 31.

When it finally happened, the start of this feud was so good, everyone was certain we would be getting a series of hard-hitting spectacles. But, much like everything else on this list, it just veered away from the direction we all wanted it to go in.

After some investigation into who had been trying to murder Roman Reigns again and again, the chief suspects were Bryan and Rowan. The twist came in the form of the latter. Because contrary to what everyone expected, Rowan did not try and kill Reigns on Bryan’s orders. He just did it because… well because why not, I suppose.

Instead of a grudge war between two of the best in the world, we got Reigns and evil vegan Bryan team to take on the man who loved white sheep and a returning Luke Harper. We are just not allowed to have nice things, are we?
