WrestleMania 31 is set in stone as Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar in the show closing main event. It will be for the WWE Title and let's face it Roman Reigns is almost certain to become Champion. Reigns' journey towards the championship started well over a year ago. WWE management decided he was the guy to become the new franchise star and concocted a long term plan to make him the next John Cena. It started in the 2014 Rumble when Reigns set an elimination record and elicited "Roman Reigns" chants. In the months after that, WWE built Reigns strong. A singles push worked well at first and he was getting over - but that momentum came to a screeching halt at this year's Royal Rumble. WWE fans saw through Reigns. They perceived him as an artificial character who had everything given to him by WWE management. It's true. The WWE's obsession with getting Reigns over has resulted in him being unable to progress naturally. The strategy is too boring and predictable, the booking has telegraphed too much of the storyline and fans have switched off. Last year, the boos changed WWE's WrestleMania booking. But the boo protests and Bryan chanting won't work this year. The latest news is that Vince McMahon is determined to stay on course with Reigns vs Lesnar. WWE fans are going to have to get even more inventive if their protests are to change the WrestleMania 31 main event...
