4. Fill The Ring With Trash
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1nbmux_hogan-turns-heel-the-birth-of-the-nwo_sport Filling the ring with trash is a bygone tradition from the past eras. It was a tactic that was memorably used by fans of WCW during Hulk Hogan's notorious heel turn at Bash At The Beach 96. The WCW faithful were genuinely loathing of Hogan (even before the heel turn) so they pelted the ring with paper trash and drink cups. Similar scenes occurred at ECW One Night Stand 2006, when the hardcore crowd showered John Cena in toilet paper. In the WCW and ECW incidents it created awesome visuals and was sort of relevant to the narrative. However, if good guy Reigns was showered in trash, on a standard Raw episode, then it would be far more telling. It would illustrate a complete rejection of the Reigns storyline and the trash throwing would literally stop the narrative for that evening. Once again, this is something that fans can orchestrate through an internet campaign and then execute live. Is it disrespectful to the wrestlers? Yes and it isn't something that I would personally endorse. However, it is absolutely a fan tactic that has been used in the past and is something that wouldn't be too surprising to see in the current WWE climate.
