10 Pushes That WWE Ruined In 2022
6. Omos
Vince McMahon's affection for giants/muscles/size in general meant Omos was always destined to be treated with care under the old WWE overseer. Of course, McMahon did eventually bungle a lot of monster pushes in his time, but even he'd be rolling his eyes over what happened during November's jaunt to Saudi Arabia.
Recent returnee Braun Strowman toppled Omos in just over seven minutes. That was a rare clean loss for MVP's towering giant, but it suggested that the wheels had suddenly come off his push. Since then, Omos' only televised showing has been a three-minute win over fellow creative straggler Johnny Gargano.
Sure, everybody has to lose occasionally, but Omos was internally lauded as somebody who could replace Braun when Strowman left WWE. In other words, he was supposed to become the monster in company circles, and definitely not someone who'd be losing a lot of matches.
Some sheen came off the big man's aura at Crown Jewel.
