10 Quick Fixes To Save NXT
1. Made In The UK
With the UK Tournament still so fresh in people's minds, there remains the opportunity to flood NXT with a host of diverse talent that could slot into any roles up and down the card.
With William Regal as a logical connective tissue, a rapid introduction of the event's biggest hitters could send shockwaves through Full Sail.
UK Champion Tyler Bate and his fellow tournament finalist Pete Dunne would immediately draw attention on the depleted roster, requiring virtually no time to get over as serious threats to the NXT Title.
Meanwhile, fellow Tournament standouts Wolfgang, Mark Andrews, Joseph Conners and Trent Seven offer an equivalent or better presentation than the current NXT lower card, Jordan Devlin could get over huge as a Balor-lite heel, and Danny Burch brings a built-in backstory from his prior experience eating losses in the developmental brand.
And 'developmental' is the key word, as the British invasion could transform NXT's television output whilst ironing out individual kinks in their own skills and enhance the talents of the existing Performance Centre students.
Crucially, it would make use of a glut of talent WWE has lassoed without an apparent endgame, and could even draw a substantial crossover audience from those who raved about the Blackpool two-nighter.
