10 Quick WWE Fixes To Save Rusev

1. Go Hard, Or Go Home

Rusev WWE Champion
WWE

After careful review of all the possible ways WWE could rapidly reinvent Rusev, it becomes only more perplexing wondering why they haven't bothered to do so already.

'The Bulgarian Brute' has repeatedly confounded critics of his boxed-in gimmick, the dated persona that comes with it, and an in-ring approach that flies in the face of the dazzling dynamic sub-cruiserweight style du jour.

A rarity in NXT and on the main roster, he proved to be a performer that grew with carefully crafted time, honing every aspect of his presentation until he'd almost fully formed around the time of his aforementioned high level WrestleMania scrap with John Cena. Their pathetically one-sided flag match at 2017's edition of Battleground only shed a dimmer light on how poorly he'd been treated by the company since their maiden encounter.

Ultimately, with no remaining quick fixes, perhaps Rusev's best course of action is to practice what he once preached, and actually walk away.

Walking away from WWE has proven fruitful for several middling midcarders in recent years, with a thriving independent scene fostering further development that has in turn, often led to a return to Vince McMahon's empiric comfort blanket.

Impatient with awaiting salvation from the company, it might be best for Rusev to save himself.
