10 Quickest Title Changes In WWE WrestleMania History
3. Rey Mysterio Vs. JBL (WrestleMania 25 - 0m21s)
This match was memorable, but mostly for what happened after the final bell rang.
The build to Rey Mysterio and JBL's Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania XXV was nothing spectacular. JBL beat CM Punk for the belt, Mysterio challenged him at WrestleMania, JBL accepted. Easy peasy.
The match itself was all over in 21 seconds, but the story of it takes a lot longer to tell. Mysterio managed to outwit JBL, hanging the big man up in the ropes for the 619 and then hitting a top rope splash to pin Bradshaw and capture the coveted belt.
Mysterio left the ring with his newly won title, but JBL stayed between the ropes, microphone in hand. Embarrassed by the upset loss, JBL loudly proclaimed to the Houston audience "I quit!". And he did.
This is JBL's last singles match in WWE to date and there's no bigger stage to go out on than WrestleMania. Perhaps there's a better way to go out than losing in under thirty seconds, but we'll just brush over that.
This was more of an angle that match, but it was a memorable angle nonetheless.
