10 Quickest Title Changes In WWE WrestleMania History
2. Sheamus Vs. Daniel Bryan (WrestleMania XXVIII - 0m18s)
If you thought people were annoyed at the 'Mania IX result, then you're in for a real treat.
The opening contest of WrestleMania XXVIII pitted World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan, against Royal Rumble winner, Sheamus.
Fans were excited to see the technical wizardry of Bryan go up against the pure brute strength of Sheamus in a long, drawn-out match. If you hadn't figured it out already, this didn't happen.
In a now infamous moment, Bryan turned around from a kiss from his on-screen girlfriend, AJ Lee, straight into a Brogue Kick. Sheamus pinned Bryan after one move and became World Heavyweight Champion in 18 seconds.
This match changed WWE forever. This was one of the first examples of fans being peeved at the company's treatment of Daniel Bryan, something that would rear up again two years later and lead to the main event of WrestleMania XXX.
This match is also the birth of the "Yes!" movement, which is still a popular fan chant today. Even if Daniel Bryan now thinks it's "fickle".
As 18 second matches go, there aren't many more important and with more far-reaching consequences than this one. Still dumb, though.
