10 Real-Life Wrestling Feuds That Played Out In Public

8. Hulk Hogan Vs. Bret Hart

It was long thought that Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart didn't get along, primarily because a poignant passing of the torch moment between WWF's Golden Era franchise player and his presumed successor never actually happened.

In subsequent interviews, The Hitman confirmed that this was because Hogan refused to do the job out of a belief he wasn't a "big enough" opponent. Then, after the racism scandal a few years ago, Hart again took the opportunity to twist the knife.

It hasn't been all one-sided, though. You don't need to search very hard to find interview clips of The Hulkster firing shots the other way. In one, he essentially labels Bret weak for falling victim to the Montreal Screwjob, and refers to him as a "horse's ass" (which is the worst type of ass).

None of this is really all that shocking, of course. These two men represent totally different schools of wrestling thought, and given the size of their respective egos, there was no way they were going to be friends in front of or behind the cameras.
