Apart from being bitter at the fact he didn't get the opportunity to pin Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart also still hasn't come to terms with the disappointing run he endured in WCW after jumping ship in 1997.

Speaking on Sam Roberts' podcast last year, The Hitman described the former Raw GM as a "loser maggot", and claimed that he was clueless when it came to the wrestling business (which is perhaps a little harsh considering how well Nitro did, at least initially, under his control).

Bischoff took the opportunity to respond when he appeared on the same podcast a short while later, suggesting that Hart's WCW failure owed to problems of his own making, namely a lack of "energy and passion".

On one level, this just sounds like sour grapes from Bret (even if he was, some of the time, a victim of poor booking), but then there are plenty of others who later complained about the way Bischoff ran his ship too. As they say, where there's smoke...
