10 Real Wrestler Names 100% Cooler Than Their Ring Names

4. Liv Morgan (Gionna Daddio)

Speaking of missed opportunities.

Liv Morgan's entire SmackDown Women's Title reign was one of those in the summer of 2022. It started with a bang, then quickly turned sour once she was portrayed as someone who just got lucky and was rather cocky about it. Cutting through booking rubbish isn't the point of this article though. Back to the naming stuff!

Morgan's birth name is Gionna Daddio. Read that again. Now, read it again...and again...and again...and again. There's something oddly satisfying about it, and it's baffling that WWE decided to go with Liv Morgan over that. What were they thinking?! Honestly.

Some wrestlers move away from their real-life names because they suck by comparison. The opposite is true for Gionna here. Liv Morgan sounds like the "everyday" name, and Gionna Daddio sounds like something creative whipped up to give her presentation some pizzazz.

Copyrighting things is obviously important, but Morgan sounds well boring next to Daddio.
