10 Reason WWE Reality Era Is Already Faltering

3. Years Of Burying Midcard Talent

Dolph Ziggler, Zack Ryder, Ryback, Christian and the list goes on and on. For several years now, there have been wrestlers that got over strong with the crowd, yet the minute they did they were promptly buried on television for no apparent reason. Ziggler is perhaps the most confusing in this bunch, as the guy is an outstanding wrestler, popular with the fans, and sells a ton of merchandise. Seemingly everything the WWE should want in one of their superstars. To see him continually buried on television while the company is hurting so much for new talent to main event is truly mind boggling. The summer of 2014 badly needs to be a time period where multiple talents are elevated to look like legitimate contenders. Some of this responsibility lies with the wrestlers themselves, as they need to take charge of their gimmick and career to get over with crowds. Unfortunately in the past, some wrestlers (particularly Ryder) have done this, only to find themselves buried in meaningless feuds or struggling to get television time. The WWE under Triple H, for the most part, has been a time of advancement and improvement in this area. Hopefully that continues and the summer is a time period of great turnover in the main event ranks.
