10 Reason WWE Reality Era Is Already Faltering

2. Struggles With NXT To WWE Transition

One thing has been proven over the last several months when it comes to introducing NXT talent in the WWE: what works in front of a thousand people in Florida isn't necessarily going to translate into success in front of large crowds in professional sporting arenas nationwide. Emma is a perfect example. Her gimmick, complete with the strange theme music and bubble popping dance was a huge hit in NXT. When introduced in front of the larger WWE crowd, with almost no build prior to coming in, the crowd was silent and confused. Add in the fact that she was paired with Santino (who could have ever thought this was a good idea?) and disaster was imminent. The latest example of this has been Adam Rose. In the case of Rose, the WWE actually did air several well put together videos hyping his debut. The gimmick, thus far, has not translated successfully to the larger WWE crowd. Having Michael Cole do the Rose dance ringside probably is not the smartest strategy if you are trying to get the guy over with the crowd either.
