10 Reasons CM Punk Left WWE At The Worst Time

3. The Signing Of NXT's Newest Stars

NXT has arguably not looked this good since its inception. WWE's developmental territory is brimming with talent and that pool is getting deeper with each passing month. From Adrian Neville to Tyler Breeze to Sami Zayn, the future is certainly looking bright for Vince McMahon's company. Many fans perhaps feel that WWE's veterans should be looking over their shoulders at NXT, weary of the younger stars that are nipping at their heels. However, the company thrives on a mix of established and rising talent, which means that the stars working in NXT should be accepted on the roster as necessary steps of WWE 's evolution. For CM Punk, NXT would have provided more top notch opponents to ply his craft with in the ring. If Punk was still in the company, he likely would have loved an opportunity to go down to NXT for a guest spot, perhaps even work a match against Zayn or Neville. If that did not appeal to him, then maybe facing one of NXT's triple threat would have. Kenta, Kevin Steen and Fergal Devitt entered NXT with much fanfare and are on the precipice of greatness in the company. All three men have traveled the world perfecting their work and now they have the biggest chance of their careers in WWE. If only Punk had been there to join in the fun. There is no end to the possibilities that existed for The Best in the World against NXT's newest arrivals.
