10 Reasons CM Punk's Legal Attack On WWE Was A Mistake

8. CM Punk Is Ruining His Own Career

Before CM Punk sent his 22 page letter to WWE, there had been a fairly decent chance of a future return. When the 35 year old gets bored by 'retirement' in a few years, he could've returned to a major spot in WWE. He would almost certainly have got a lucrative part time deal and main event run. The potential was massive for WWE to reinvent CM Punk's 2011 storyline of rebellion and worked shoots. Imagine him coming back by running the ring through the Chicago crowd, or entering the ring to cut a new pipe bomb that reveals all on his now infamous walk out. The potential can be summed up in one word - MONEY. Punk has now perhaps blown that opportunity. By writing a letter and potentially ruining WWE 2K15, he has p****d off a lot of people. Vince McMahon takes business personally, any attack on his company is going to have consequences. The big outcome of Punk's letter is probably going to be that the WWE never uses him again.
