10 Reasons CM Punk's Legal Attack On WWE Was A Mistake

4. Punk Was So Close To All This Being Over... Now He's Relit The Fire

CM Punk had gone nine months without making grievances about the WWE. He's just a few months away from having been gone a year. At that point, his whole exit drama would've been history and pretty much forgotten. Yes, there was the merchandise and 2K15 issues, but if Punk had just ignored them, he'd have made it through the year and there'd be no more new Punk products on the way. Granted he was losing royalties, but then WWE lost time on his contract, so it evened itself out. His best course of action would've been to let the royalty issue slide and pretty soon he'd be free of all the WWE related dramas. Instead, he's took an action that puts his dispute with WWE right back at the forefront. He's relit the fire. After so many months of letting things ride, he's now undone all his progression in moving on. We are right back where we started in late January.
