10 Reasons Dean Ambrose Is Better Than Roman Reigns

9. A Smaller Champion Has Been In Vogue

For the course of WWE history, it has been proven that Vince McMahon has been a fan of the tall muscular wrestler to be the champion of the company. It's the wrestling version of a superhero, and over the course of the history of the WWE Championship, the large hulking wrestler has been the one to hold the strap. From the past, you had guys like Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior. Then in the past 15 years, you'd have wrestlers like The Rock, Triple H, Batista, and Randy Orton. While there has always been exceptions to the rule over the years, it has seemed that Vince has embraced the smaller guy to have the most prestigious championship for the company more recently. The biggest example is CM Punk; who held the title for 434 days. That was the longest title reign of the past 25 years. More recently, the top guy was Daniel Bryan; who was built up to be the champion over the course of an eight-month program with The Authority. If it wasn't for injury, Bryan could easily still be the champion today. Dean Ambrose is clearly of the mould of Punk and Bryan before him, and is proven to have all of the great attributes to be the champion of the company. Punk's run was a good indication that Ambrose can be the face of the company. Instead of being the "look of a champion", it seems like Vince is more likely to make anyone who moves the needle and has the talent in and out of the ring the champion of the company.
