10 Reasons King Barrett Is Dead In The Water

4. Barrett's Time Has Come & Gone Already

Extending on the point in an earlier entry that Wade Barrett isn't a new face to the WWE mix, he has previously competed against a number of huge names in major Pay-Per-View scenarios. During his rookie year on the main roster, Barrett faced the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton regularly. Those matches weren't bad, far from it, but it was normally Cena and Orton who would be booked to come out on top, making it clear that the Englishman had a lot of work to in order to get up to their level. Back in 2010, time was very much on Barrett's side, but that was 5 years ago now. There's a slight feeling that the man has already had his chance to succeed in the main event scene. As the head of a threatening heel faction, and an opponent for some of the franchise players, Barrett seemed to very much serve his purpose. Again, is there room for him amongst guys like Seth Rollins or Brock Lesnar today?
