7. Friends With Triple H
Shawn Michaels got so much help from being friends with Triple H. Pre-2002, that help was mostly personal. Hunter helped Michaels on the road, sometimes covering for him when he was too drunk or pilled up to function. He had Michaels back, when most others in the locker room despised him. Even with Vince McMahon and other top officials, Triple H would cover for HBK and smooth things over when things got rough. After 2002, with Triple H now a firm fixture of power in WWE, he helped to ensure Michaels always pretty much got what he wanted. Michaels was less obsessed with championships in that run, but he still wanted certain things his own way. Nowadays, Seth Rollins is also benefiting from that Triple H connection. The two men are firm friends, with a student / teacher type appreciation for each other. It was Hunter who rescued Rollins from a tempestuous time in NXT, putting him on the right track and constantly having his back in WWE's main roster. The benefits of that friendship are clear, with Rollins one of the strongest pushed wrestlers of this decade. For Shawn Michaels and Seth Rollins, being friends with Triple H has been invaluable.
