10 Reasons Sting Should Debut At WWE Survivor Series 2014

5. To Plant The Seeds For WrestleMania 31

At the end of the day, The Undertaker is the one that fans truly want Sting to hook up with in WWE. Bray Wyatt is a great choice, Rusev is a very intriguing option, but it's The Deadman that is the one at the top of almost every fan's list. No other dream match beats this one and no other has even come close. It would be the meeting of two different icons, two men that at one time, represented the top two companies in all of professional wrestling. Both Taker and Sting were the standard bearers for WWE and WCW respectively; if a worker wanted to make a name for himself in either company, he had to face one of those top guys. Undertaker became a vital part of The Attitude Era in WWE and The nWo would arguably never have been as successful in WCW had it not been for the opposition of Sting. Each man saw an opportunity to reinvent himself for the modern era and both men did just that when the time was right. To see them finally face off in WWE will be the stuff of legend. While WrestleMania season is not quite upon us, the fact is that the seeds of this match could be planted at Survivor Series. Whether it's an interview, a backstage segment or simply an appearance in the ring with Sting giving Taker's infamous throat slashing gesture, Survivor Series could be the night that the biggest dream match of all time finally begins to get off the ground.
