10 Reasons To Be Nervous For WWE In 2020

4. NXT Becomes "Just Another Brand"

Whether by accident or design, WWE's decision to bleed NXT's cutting edge cool into Raw and SmackDown over the past week has worked. Sure, this guy can argue like a ranting, raving old man about the staleness of Survivor Series' formula, but NXT's inclusion does give it some freshness.

It'd be wise to make this a one off however.

NXT is everything to hardcore fans that both red and blue brands aren't. It carries a counter-culture feel that's become tantalising for those bored of three-hour Mondays and corporate chatter about the importance of SmackDown moving to FOX. For those fans who just love great wrestling and simplistic character development, NXT is heaven.

That'll change if WWE continually present them as an invasion force looking for minutes on the perceived "bigger" shows. Plus, NXT are on equal footing with Raw now thanks to the USA Network deal. They can't claim to be the underdog any longer, and WWE may have difficulty adapting to that in 2020.
